SDDA Board Elections 

The Board consists of the Immediate Past President and 12 elected members and must contain a majority of downtown property or business owners.  

Elections are held in August according to the rules outlined in the SDDA By-Laws.  

Board Nominees must be:

· Members of the SDDA

·  Willing and able to advocate for downtown; attend monthly Board meetings; participate in one of the four SDDA committees; attend Downtown Round Tables and the Annual Meeting. 

Nominations to the Board are made by:

· A Nominating Committee chaired by the Board President and made up of the Immediate Past President and any outgoing Board members. 

· Nominations can also be made by petition submitted to the Executive Director signed by 10% (32) of the members of record at the date of the previous annual meeting.  The petition form can be downloaded HERE.

Petition nominations are due to the SDDA Office by July 27, 2010.  A list of members can be found in the annual report.
