April 17 Earth Day Staunton. 9 a.m. to Noon ~ Byers Street Parking Lot, across from Sunspots. Interactive activities and demonstrations educate families about the environment. 

April 18 Shakespeare’s Birthday Celebration. A celebration throughout the week at The Blackfriar’s Playhouse presented by The American Shakespeare Center.  Tours,  performances, lectures, birthday cake and more!  www.americanshakepearecenter.com 

April 23 4th Fridays Gallery Walk. Beginning Friday, April 24 through November 27 at 5 PM, the fourth Friday of every month, Downtown galleries host openings with refreshments and entertainment. www.VisitStaunton.com

April 24 & 25 Sunspots Studios Hot Glass Festival.Virginia’s only show dedicated to hot glass artistry. Artists from across the region exhibiting and selling their work in one location.  www.sunspots.com

May 13 Shakin’ At the Station. 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Thursdays through August at The Wharf. Local bands entertain to benefit local charities.

July-September  Friday Nights Street Entertainment, 6-9pm.  Music, magic, theater & more on the streets of Downtown as stores stay open later on Friday nights.

June 27  Downtown Night/Taste of Jazz for Bike Virginia.  Enjoy a Taste of Jazz & special shopping and dining as downtown celebrates Bike Virginia!  4-9pm.

July 2-5 Virginia Morgan Car Club Display on Beverley from 10 a.m. -2p.m.

November 5  Sparkles & Sweets.  6 p.m. – 9 p.m. ~ Refreshments, entertainment and sparkling stores!

November 28  Community Bazaar in the Wharf  9 a.m. – 4 p.m. ~ Holiday foods and crafts in the Wharf Parking Lot

November 29  Christmas Parade. 7 p.m. ~ A community favorite with floats, bands, dancers, vehicles and more, where Santa arrives! 

December 4  Santa Express.  Santa arrives on the train escorted by uniformed Marines to kick off the annual Toys for Tots toy collection drive.

December 1-18  Meet Me Downtown Shopping Spree Giveaway!  Win big prizes by doing your shopping downtown this holiday season.  Details to be announced.
