Shop & Dine Out in Downtown

Shop and Dine Out in Downtown will resume on weekends beginning Friday, April 1, 2022, to allow restaurants, breweries, and retail establishments on Beverley Street to take advantage of the city’s provisions for outdoor dining and retail. The City will begin  closing the street at 4 p.m.; however, restaurants and retailers are not authorized to start setting up in the street until 4:30 p.m. or until all cars have been removed and bollards are installed.

Beverley Street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Lewis Street to Market Street on Fridays beginning at 4 p.m. and continuing through Mondays at 7:30 a.m. On certain holiday weekends, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day, closures will be extended through Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. The cross streets, Lewis Street, Central Avenue, Augusta Street, New Street, and Market Street, will remain open.

Please refer to these guidelines you should know before you Dine Out in Downtown.

  • Stay home if you are feeling ill or if you have been exposed to an ill individual
  • Follow the state’s guidance regarding face coverings
  • Leave your pets at home
  • No restrooms, other than restrooms open by restaurants to their patrons, will be available for use
  • Consume alcohol in designated outdoor dining areas – no open containers permitted beyond those areas
  • No smoking in designated outdoor dining areas
